Which comments does the Rypl agent answer?
Updated
By default a Rypl agent answers questions, purchases and requests. A complaint that only states a problem isn't answered, praise is answered only if you turn on thank-you replies, and spam is never answered.
| Comment | What happens by default |
|---|---|
| Question, Purchase, Request | Answered automatically |
| Complaint | Not answered if it only states a problem; answered if it asks something. Without a reply, it shows in Needs attention |
| Praise and support | Not answered, unless you turn on thank-you replies (Pro and Ultra) |
| Spam | Never answered; hidden if your moderation catches it |
| Users talking to each other | Not answered, unless it asks a question |
Changing what it answers
On Pro and Ultra, reply rules change this: answer emoji reactions, stay silent on comments with certain words, or answer a repeated question with your own text.
Messages
In Messenger and Instagram Direct the agent answers every message except spam and negative complaints that ask nothing. Instructions shape what it says but can't make it stay silent. Reply rules apply to comments only.
Never answered
Legal threats and emergencies are never answered, even by a rule: they need a person.

Hide or delete?
Hide by default: a hidden comment can be shown again and the author doesn't know. Delete only what you are sure must go. On TikTok, Rypl can only hide.
Reply rules
A reply rule says which comments the agent answers and how: with an AI reply, with your own text, or not at all. Up to 20 rules per agent, on Pro and Ultra.
