How to Hide Comments on TikTok Ads (2026)
Comments on TikTok ads are managed in TikTok Ads Manager. Its Comments Manager lets you hide or unhide a comment, or several at once, and two settings hide comments for you: Blocked Words, for comments that contain words you list, and Block User, for everything one account posts on your ads. TikTok's help lists no delete action for comments other people leave on your ads, so hiding is how you clear them.

Can you hide comments on TikTok ads?
Yes. In TikTok Ads Manager, go to Tools > Comments and hide comments one by one or in bulk; Blocked Words hides the ones that contain words you list.
Hide a comment in Comments Manager
One comment at a time, or several at once. You need to be linked to a TikTok account to manage comments.
- 1
Open Comments Manager
In TikTok Ads Manager, hover over Tools and click Comments or Comments Manager. You can also go to Campaigns > Ad group, click the three dots next to an ad group and choose Comments.
- 2
Find the comment
Filter the kinds of comments you want to see, or click an ad group in the list to see only its comments.
- 3
Hide it
Click the comment, then Hide. Unhide makes it visible again. To hide several, tick the box next to each one and hide them in bulk.
Hide comments by word with Blocked Words
Comments that contain a word on your list are hidden automatically. The list belongs to the ad account.
- 1
Open Blocked Words
In Comments Manager (Tools > Comments), click Blocked Words in the left-hand menu.
- 2
Add your words
Click Add, enter the words separated by commas, then click Confirm. The list takes up to 500 words, each up to 30 Latin characters.
- 3
Know how it matches
In languages that put spaces between words, only whole words match, and case and punctuation are ignored: a blocked I love hides I Love You and I, love you, but not I loved.
Hide everything one account posts with Block User
For an account that keeps leaving spam or abuse on your ads.
- 1
Block from a comment
In Comments Manager, choose one of their comments and click Block User.
- 2
Check what it does
All of their new and existing comments on your ads are hidden. They can still comment, but only they can see it.
- 3
Unblock, or block by ID
Click Unblock User to make their comments visible again. You can also block accounts by TikTok ID in the Block Users section under Assets.
What can't TikTok do on its own?
Outside Blocked Words and blocked users, hiding is done by hand: TikTok's Ads Manager help documents no automatic spam filter for ad comments.
- TikTok's help lists no way to delete comments other people leave on your ads. Through the API, an advertiser can delete only comments its own identity posted.
- You can't hide or unhide a comment that contains a blocked word. Deleting the word from the list makes the comments it hid public again.
- Blocked Words holds up to 500 words of up to 30 Latin characters and matches whole words, so I loved gets past a blocked I love.
- Bulk actions are limited to hide, unhide and export.
- TikTok doesn't say whether the writer still sees a comment you hid one by one. It does say a blocked user's comments stay visible to that user.
How do you hide TikTok ad comments automatically?
Connect your TikTok ad account to RYPL: it reads new comments on your ads and hides spam, scams and abuse by what they mean, not by a word list.
- New comments on your TikTok ads arrive through TikTok's comment webhook, with a sync every five minutes as a backup. Spam, scams and abuse are hidden.
- On TikTok, RYPL hides comments. TikTok doesn't let it delete them, so a rule set to delete hides the comment instead.
- Banned words and author blocking on every plan; from Pro, moderation rules in plain words, with review first if you want to check before it acts.
- Complaints aren't hidden: they wait in the Needs attention queue for a person. RYPL works on TikTok ads only, through TikTok's official API; organic TikTok posts aren't supported.
